How to delete your Yapper account
You can delete your account directly in-app or request deletion through support.
Option 1: Delete in the app
- Open Yapper and sign in to the account you want removed.
- Go to Profile and open Settings.
- Select Account, then choose Delete account.
- Review the confirmation details and complete deletion.
In-app deletion starts immediately and signs you out from active sessions.
Option 2: Request by email
Email privacy@getyapper.org from the address on your account with the subject line: Delete My Yapper Account.
Include:
- Your @username
- Registered email address
- Confirmation that you want permanent deletion
Deletion timeline
We process deletion requests promptly and confirm when complete.
Processing window
Most verified requests are completed within 7 days. If additional identity verification is required, processing can take longer.
Data handling
Core account profile and user-generated content are removed or anonymized. Limited records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
