Community Guidelines

Yapper works best when conversations are local, respectful, and useful. These guidelines explain expected behavior.

Last updated: February 23, 2026

1. Keep it local and relevant

Share information that helps people understand what is happening nearby. Context, clarity, and timeliness matter.

2. Respect people, even in disagreement

Debate ideas, not identities. Personal attacks, slurs, intimidation, and threats are not allowed.

3. No harassment or targeted harm

  • No doxxing or sharing private personal information.
  • No coordinated dogpiling, stalking, or repeated intimidation.
  • No credible threats of violence or self-harm encouragement.

4. No deception, spam, or manipulation

  • Do not impersonate others or misrepresent affiliations.
  • Do not flood feeds with repetitive promotions or irrelevant links.
  • Do not use bots or coordinated fake engagement.

5. Report responsibly

Use reporting tools in good faith. False or retaliatory reporting can result in enforcement action.

6. Enforcement

Depending on severity and pattern, Yapper may apply:

  • Content removal or reduced visibility
  • Feature restrictions or temporary suspensions
  • Permanent account termination for severe violations

7. Appeals and Support

If you believe moderation was applied in error, contact support@getyapper.org with your username and the related post or ticket reference.
